Impreza 1997, (v4) onwards up to and incl 2004 with direct turbo inlet path only. Directly bolts to exhaust manifold as well as exhaust pipe off turbo. Minimal modifications required to fit. Best applications: This turbo is still the largest flowing IHI / STi Roller bearing turbo available and is a last option before a specialist turbo is chosen that may need to be larger. This is a popular replacement turbo for Impreza's instead of VF23, however with more modifications, such as exhaust and front mount intercooler, kits, etc. (designed for greater flow) as this turbo will start to come on boost at 3300

Impreza MY97, (v4) onwards up to and incl 01 / 02 with direct turbo inlet path only. Directly bolts to exhaust manifold as well as exhaust pipe off turbo. Minimal modifications required to fit Best applications: This is the most popular replacement turbo for Impreza's with some modifications, such as exhaust and top mount intercooler, kits, etc as this turbo will start to come on boost at 3100 rpm, however is capable of running up to 20 psi @7000 rpm EG cars with up to 180 Kw at the WHEELS Can pump more boost than the std WRX or Sti OE Turbo @7000 rpm, without excessive turbo lag down low. For best results it should be fitted with an electronic boost controller, replacement ecu or well mapped ECU chip. However it can run with a Std ecu and a bleed valve NOTE (for Earlier models that have 90 degree inlet elbow) Specialist fitting required, gaskets not included. STi VF23 turbo shown

Roller bearing assy suits Impreza MY97 (v4) onwards, up to and including 01 / 02 onwards, with direct turbo inlet path only. Directly bolts to exhaust manifold as well as exhaust pipe off turbo. Minimal modifications required to fit. Similar specification to VF30, however improved spool up time and LESS lag due to roller bearing design. This turbo is on the 2002 Sti RA type SPec C.
